Charcol in HB on the corner of Beach and Atlanta is one of the best Indian restaurants around! The garlic naan and chicken tikka masala were absolutely to die for — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and the lunch specials make it super affordable. Great food, friendly service, and unbeatable value — can’t wait to go back!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Food is amazing, good quality and good portions. The service was amazing, we just made the order and they served it to our table. Also the cashier was knowledgeable and very helpful. We ordered chicken dum biryani, chicken korma it’s coming with rice, and one butter nan which was verrry delicious they are using salted butter 😋😋 The biryani was delicious and medium spicy, it also comes with yoghurt salad. The mix of the korma sauce with the biryani rice is just on 🔥. Also, the resturant is huge with many indoor tables and a patio, and the bathrooms are very clean.

This is fast casual Indian cuisine food. I first noticed the place is very clean and 5 months new. You order at the counter and they bring your food. I ordered the Butter Chicken, Mixed Vegetable plate, and for dessert the Chocolate Baklava. All the food is cooked fresh each time and is authentic and delicious, not pre-made and the counter staff are very nice and knowledgeable on their dishes with recommendations. I would highly recommend Charcol and I will definitely come back again!!

Excellent experience here today, the wait staff was friendly and super helpful. The lunch special was fantastic, the main dish and the bread were exceptional. I will definitely return to try more dishes here!

My family and I visited Charcoal Indian Kitchen in Huntington Beach today while we were in the area, and it was a fantastic experience. This local spot blends the convenience of fast food with a more upscale Indian dining vibe. Having opened just a few months ago, it’s still new, but it’s already making a strong impression. The gentleman who opened the restaurant previously worked at other Indian restaurants I’ve frequented and loved, so I went in with high hopes for the food—and I wasn’t disappointed. The interior is spotlessly clean, and the menu is expansive, offering dozens of delicious options for both meat-lovers and vegetarians alike. We sampled a wide variety of dishes: dosa (which we tried in multiple styles, including chicken tikka dosa and masala dosa), chicken skewers, paneer, lamb pepper fry, lamb saag, garlic and butter naan, chili naan, a paneer bowl, and mango lassi to wash it all down. Despite the restaurant only being in business for three months, I tempered my expectations since new places often need time to find their footing. But Charcoal Indian Kitchen exceeded all of them. The food was outstanding, with bold flavors and perfect execution across every dish.
